My name is Sean Paul Arceta. I am a father, and an active professional dancer with over 20+ years of experience performing, facilitating workshops, teaching, and battling (competeting) across North America. I am an active dancer, and the biggest reason I continue to dance is to show what the human body can do and is capable of. I have mentored, and taught over hundreds of individuals in the performing arts world such as B-Boying (Breakdancing). I have earned recognition across Canada in many major cities, and communities for my ability to do "powermoves" and be one of the handful to do them at an exceptional level. I have taught & provided dance instruction for over 20 years full-time for The City of Edmonton, 3rd Street Beat Dance Studios, Edmonton Catholic Schools, Edmonton Public Schools, The University of Alberta, and MacEwan University along with being an exclusive guest for specialized workshops. My work as a professional dancer has taken me to be able to facilitate group work in The Calgary Young Offender Centre, and the Edmonton Young Offender Centre running structured programming utilizing HipHop (breaking, graffiti, mc, and djing) with the youth. Other outreach projects include going to over 100 First Nations and Inuit communities across Turtle Island (Canada & The U.S.A.).
Photography has always been a part of my dance career. Now I've been privileged to create content for famous artists from Canada such as Tiktok Celebrity Notorious Cree, DJ Skratch Bastid, corporate work for major companies such as TD and Coca-Cola, and many local artists from Edmonton.
Creativity is no stranger to me. I work full-time as a Registered Social Worker since 2012 for a non-for profit youth serving agency in Edmonton known as iHuman Youth Society. I do frontline work navigating, and championing many systemic issues with young people: the criminal justice system, the child welfare, education, and the medical system. My role as a RSW at the non-for-profit is about finding ways to creatively tackle issues with young people that support their autonomny in ensuring greater outcomes in their lives. I have the privilege to inspire youth through the arts and be a living, and breathing support in real time for many youth I work with.
